Beverley Milton-Edwards is Professor of Politics at Queen’s University Belfast and currently a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Doha Center in Qatar. Professor Milton-Edwards is a leading authority on contemporary politics in the Middle East and North Africa. Milton-Edwards is known for having pioneered both scholarship and practice in the field of conflict management in the Middle East.
Gehan Selim is Lecturer in Architecture at University of Leeds and Fellow of the Senator George Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice. Dr Selim is an active researcher in Architecture, Urban Theory and Visualisation bridging between the social (people), the physical (buildings) and the urban (city).
Dr. Konstantin Kastrissianakis
Before joining the Revolt in the Square project, Konstantin was a PDRA on the YouCitizen project, for which he conducted fieldwork research on youth citizenship in Lebanon. He completed his PhD in architecture on public space in Beirut at the University of Cambridge as part of the Conflict in Cities and the Contested State research project.
Reem Albarakat is a PhD researcher in Architecture at the University of Leeds. Reem’s interested in examining public spaces and cyberspace transformations in relation to various spatial conceptions and practices. Her PhD research focuses on the impact of cyber experience on the political mobilisation and spatial practices during phases of urban unrest in the Middle East.
